Deep Tissue Massage is a deep pressured massage, that focuses on specific goals to address acute and chronic muscle tension. The application of slow, deep pressure effects deeper layers of muscle and fascia assisting them to release and relax. The benefits of this deep pressure can assist in recovery from injury, or overuse of a muscle, and help break up scar tissue and adhesions. This session will help improve posture by releasing holding patterns and help manage or reduce pain. Our Deep Tissue massage oil is customized and infused with Clove and Peppermint essential oils to relax stiff, painful muscles and joints.
What to expect
Once you have booked the treatment of your choice, you will be able to fill out intake forms online. Upon arrival for your treatment, you will check in with the front desk and be escorted to our waiting area. Your provider will greet you in the waiting area and walk you to the treatment room. In the treatment room, your provider will review your intake form and do an initial verbal consultation of your overall health and treatment goals. This is done in the treatment room to fully respect your privacy and keep your information confidential. After your treatment goals are established, the therapist will provide an explanation of the overall session. The provider will step out of the room to ensure your privacy as you undress, to your comfort level, and get on the table. The provider will enter when you are ready and proceed with the session. The session will involve deep, firm-pressure massage techniques. When the session has come to an end, the therapist will inform you and step out of the room for you to get dressed. The provider will be waiting for you outside the room to follow up and escort you to the front desk. At this time, you will check out with the option to book your next treatment.
A Deep Tissue Massage can be booked for 50 minutes, 80 minutes or for 110 minutes.

Deep Tissue effects individuals in different ways, some may feel a reduction in pain while other may feel sore. You may experience soreness for a few days following your session which is an indication that your muscles need to rest and recover. After receiving any massage, you should drink plenty of water and if you feel tired, rest. Your body was treated for an hour or more. During a massage, blood is circulated through your system removing toxins at an accelerated pace. Drinking water is important to avoid dehydration. Dehydration can contribute to headaches, dizziness, and nausea. Follow up with your provider for further concerns and questions.
